Honest Honey will be selling nucleus colonies of bees (nucs) from end May/June 2023. These will be available on national, commercial or langstroth Hoffman brood frames. The cost of each nuc includes the frames with brood, food, bees and a laying queen. At least 3 frames will contain brood. All queens have been raised in the Chilterns from local stock and are adapted to the climatic conditions of the area. All queens are marked with the colour indicating year of birth (red for 2023). Queens are not clipped unless specifically requested, which can be performed for an additional £3.
National nucleus of bees on 6 frames (in returnable poly nucleus box): £210
Commercial nucleus of bees on 6 frames (in returnable poly nucleus box): £230
Langstroth nucleus of bees on 5 frames (in returnable poly nucleus box): £245
The poly nucleus hive can be returned, in re-usable condition, within 30 days, or purchased for an additional £45.
Nucleus colonies of bees can be collected, or delivered within a 20 mile distance of Amersham.
